Making Dinner.....

...a.k.a Kraft Mac n Cheese, so easy a Toddler can do it!

Sarah had to work again tonight and left Autumn and I to fend for ourselves. I asked Autumn what she wanted for dinner and she said Macncheeeeze. I told her if she wanted Mac and Cheese for dinner she would have to make it herself....so she did.
Pouring the water into the pot.
I told her a watched pot never boiled, so she decided to dance to kill the time.
Once the water boiled it was time to, carefully, add some macaroni to the water.
And of course, as the directions tell us, stir occasionally.  Harry decided he wanted to help too.  We all have to pitch in.

An action shot of Autumn braving the heat and stirring.

Measuring out the milk.
Measuring out the margarine.
Checking her measurements.
No we don't eat the margarine. (Believe it or not this was not posed, and I was able to stop her before an unpleasant bite of Country Crock.
Pouring in the milk and margarine.
Stirring in the "Cheese".
And adding her own touch, a little freshly grated Colby Jack on top.  Now it's a Tri-Fromage Macaroni.

And of course enjoying the fruits of her labor.  Well I hope you enjoy.  We did!

Naptime!

Today I got a double nap! Autumn played like crazy today with Maddy and I guess that tuckered her out. She doesn't take a nap everyday so this was enjoyable. She looked at me and started crying and then laid down on the rug and passed out!! Of course Moose looked at her and thought that was a great idea.

Water Fun

Between some of the recent trips to the zoo splash park and PaPa's pool in Yuma Autumn has had her fill of the water.  But she's doing a great job in her swim classes with Maddy.  She lays on her back and kicks, blows bubbles in the water, goes under, and closes her eyes when she comes up.

Autumn about to enjoy a nice cold ice cream cold on a hot day

Autumn flexing in her new muscle swim suit.

Going under without crying!

Kicking and swimming in circles with Sarah.

Hanging on to her fun-noodle floatie/water gun

Moosen wanted in on some of the action

July 4th

We went down to Yuma for the 4th and saw some really good fireworks. Autumn absolutely loved the fireworks, though they were a bit loud sometimes. She just kept saying fireworks! Fireworks! Fireworks.

Autumn celebrating with her Blinking wand

Autumn really did love the fireworks.

Believe it or not this picture took 4 tries. I'm really, really bad at the self photo angle, Sarah had to take over for us.

If you look closely you can see about 1/4 of that gigantic bag of kettle corn in Autumn's cheeks.

They even had a moto-x show with guys doing jumps and spins on bikes and a snowmobile. Sarah took this picture. A really cool shot.

And technically this picture was July 1st, but she's got the 4th of July look going on.

Oh Come On!!!

Here's a fun video of Autumn watching the Cubs game tonight. She was also saying Go Cubs! Go Cubs! Go Cubs! However she wasn't up late enough to join in the Cubs Win! Cubs Win! Cubs Win! (I hope, it's the top of the 7th right now.)

Like Father Like Daughter

I'm so proud.
Cheers to you!

I would like to point out that I did not put the chair there. I turned the Cubs game on, she grabbed the chair, and put it in front of the TV without any pushing or prodding from me.
